Tomorrow at Sonic Lunch – it’s a pizza party with Pizza House!

We’ll be wrapping up our final Sonic Lunch of the season tomorrow, and you’d better believe we’ll be doing it up right with a giant party in Liberty Plaza! George Bedard and The Kingpins will be providing their super-fun and singable classic rock, and Ann Arbor’s family-owned Pizza House will be on-site selling an assortment of piping hot single slices for $3, or two for $5.

We’ll also have Sweetwaters selling coffee, tea and other cold beverages, and Washtenaw Dairy selling scoops of ice cream. This is your last chance to get in on the Sonic Lunch action. Come on down and bid a fond farewell to Season 6 of Ann Arbor’s favorite summertime concert series!

Lunch tomorrow by The Lunch Room

Joining Kopecky Family Band for Sonic Lunch tomorrow is another up-and-comer in their own right, The Lunch Room.  After hosting dinner parties and brunches for friends to rave reviews, owners Phillis Engelbert and Joel Panozzo started The Lunch Room as a Mark’s Carts vendor, where they built their business and were even voted “Best Food Cart” in Current Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

They have recently moved on to bigger adventures by opening their own restaurant in Kerrytown where they serve delicious and innovative high-quality vegan food using local and organic produce, making everything from scratch from fine ingredients, and emphasizing environmental sustainability.

On tomorrow’s menu:

Banh mi chay: The Lunch Room’s take on this classic Vietnamese baguette sandwich with marinated baked tofu, carrot-radish pickle, jalapenos, and fresh cilantro and mint with garlic mayo. Served on a housemade baguette

Tempeh reuben: marinated, baked tempeh and sauerkraut from The Brinery on housemade rye bread with a special tangy dressing

Vegan cookies

Join us tomorrow for another great Sonic Lunch!

Greensky Bluegrass may be a Sonic Lunch first, but our lunch partner this week is a returning favorite. Conor O’Neill’s will be bringing a selection of mouthwatering Irish sandwiches and wraps that will leave you feeling sated for the toe-tapping extravaganza to follow.  On the menu tomorrow:

- Chicken Caesar Wraps
– Guinness and Jameson BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Joining in the fun to sell some icy, ethically sourced, locally brewed beverages is Roos Roast.  We’re also excited to announce that Washtenaw Dairy will be selling scoops of ice cream to help make the occasion extra festive!

Only three Sonic Lunches left, and you don’t want to miss a single one! We’ll see you tomorrow in Liberty Plaza!
